Assessment Type
Learners will be assessed through a combination of theoretical and practical methods to ensure a comprehensive understanding of personal training principles and their application. Assessment includes a Learner Assessment Record, Assessment Workbook, and an externally marked Multiple-Choice Theory Paper.
In addition, learners will complete a practical examination to demonstrate their ability to plan, deliver, and evaluate effective personal training sessions, as well as a portfolio of evidence showcasing their learning progress, client work, and reflective practice. This blended approach ensures learners are fully prepared for real-world client interactions and professional fitness environments.
Entry Requirements
No Prior qualifications are necessary but a baseline fitness level and understanding of gym based exercise should be present
Career Progression
On successful completion of this course, learners will be able to work as a stand alone Trainer in a one-to-one setting. On completion of this qualification, learners could also progress onto the following courses:
- Level 4 strength and conditioning
- Level 3 Exercise referral.
- CPD Courses (Studio Cycling, Kettlebells, Circuit Training...)
